Alpaca Yarn One is a stunningly soft blend of baby alpaca wool and new wool (65% sheep Wool 35% Alpaca wool) in a palette of rich, saturated colors. Alpaca Yarn One has a wonderful balance of warmth and drape, its warmth easily competes with cashmere, as alpaca wool is much warmer than wool and similar to cashmere. Alpaca Yarn One is fantastic for projects that needs to be cozy and soft enough to wear next to the skin such as cowls, wraps, and sweaters that have a light weight with luxurious feel.

Washing Instructions:

• ​Do not bleach
• Do not tumble dry
• Iron low temperature 110°c
• Hand wash delicate under 30°c
• Any solvent except tetrachlorenthylene

A: Alpaca wool is a type of wool that is derived from the fibers that naturally grow on the animal alpacas. These animals are similar to camels, and they are native to South America. Alpaca Wool is soft, durable, and silky. The fibers are similar in size to our Merino wool, but they are mostly hollow, whereas sheep's wool has pockets of air, that is the same structure as cashmere. It is the air pockets that trap heat, so alpaca wool can be perceived as being warmer than Merino. It retains its warmth even when wet.

A: Yes. To best suit your market needs, our mill can customize the content composition, yarn weight (e.g. change from 8 ply yarn to 4 ply), colors, and packaging accordingly.
